Aceh has a number of talented artists especially in music. A well-known one, Nyawong, a group band with its main vocalist, Mukhlis, has contributed great songs that touch many hearts. Those sung in Aceh language and expose Aceh condition in conflict era AND culture & tradition as well as way of life of Acehnese people.

This song was played on TV over and over in the aftermath of tsunami in Aceh. It reminds me of the sad memory of it ... the ruins, the people ...
